Stephenie Meyer's Only Interview Will Be With Oprah
Twilight Saga Author Stephenie Meyer chose her only interview very carefully...
We knew Oprah had to do something to acknowledge the internationally-awaited November 20 release of the New Moon film from the Twilight saga. Turns out she's bringing in the big gun: Stephenie Meyer, who explained on her Web site why she's giving Oprah her only interview.
"Since I'm only doing one interview, better make it really, really big," Meyer said. Despite doing what she calls "the hermit thing for the last year" in regards to press, she is "making an exception." Meyer wanted to step out and support New Moon director Chris Weitz, so she went with The Oprah Winfrey Show -- and she's so happy with Weitz's New Moon adaptation that she's doing this appearance "for good reason."
.
Well, that and the fact that Oprah is the holy grail of publicity, come on. It sounds as though Meyer may be flying to Chicago to appear on Oprah's live episode that will tape and air this Friday, November 13 (that's the date Meyer mentions on her blog). Viewers have a chance to write in to Oprah's show and ask Stephenie Meyer a question. It's said she'll talk about anything New Moon, but not Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner. Doh! Hmmm...maybe there'll be a surprise appearance?
Read how you can see New Moon stars live next week! Plus, more good Twilight news: according to Robert Pattinson, it sounds like Breaking Dawn is going to happen.
