Steven Tyler Weighs In on Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey 'Idol' Feud
Steven Tyler Thinks Minaj/Carey Fight on 'Idol' a PR Stunt
Do you believe the Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey American Idol feud is legit?
Former judge Steven Tyler is weighing in on the Minaj/Carey fight -- and he's calling foul.
In a new TMZ.com video, Tyler says that he believes Idol is making more out of it than it really is to boost ratings.
Tyler notes, "of course [it's b.s.] ... are you kidding?"
The Voice coach Cee Lo Green recently told TMZ that the feud isn't for real, noting, "This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything's legit. I think it's entertainment for everybody."
Of course, the Idol folks continue to stoke the fire, when they released a statement about the Carey/Minaj dustup on Friday: "This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we've ever had."
With the tough competition against Idol these days and the show getting a little long in the tooth, the feud between Carey and Minaj could get more viewers tuning in to see if there is onset tension.

Then again, it could turn off a good chunk of Idol's fanbase, who are more interested in seeing the contestants than they are the judges' drama.
Does anyone else feel bad for Keith Urban, who looks like he's totally stuck in the middle of the catfight (video below)?
