Best Super Bowl Recipe: Buffalo Chicken Dip
Dig in to buffalo wings?
All that cooking for your Super Bowl party can get tiring. And when you have a big crowd coming over, it's difficult to know how much to make. Things like buffalo wings can disappear in a flash, and they're oh so messy. So, why not revise your Super Bowl menu this year and make buffalo chicken dip instead?
Not only is buffalo chicken dip a bit easier to make for the masses, but it's a bit healthier too. So, you can eat more of it and not have to worry about all those extra Super Bowl party calories.
If you want to save your calories even more (you know, maybe for that taco dip), you can serve the dip with vegetables like celery and carrot sticks. But if you want to indulge a bit, serve it with tortilla chips.
Buffalo Chicken Dip:
* 2 1/2 chicken breast, cooked and shredded
* 1 8 oz. package of low-fat cream cheese (sometimes called nuefchatel)
* 1/2 C Frank's Red Hot sauce
* 1/3 t garlic powder
* Ground salt and pepper
* 1/4 C extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
* Blue cheese for topping
All you have to do to prepare the dip is stir all the ingredients together, leaving some extra cheddar and the blue cheese for the top. Bake in an ovenproof dish covered in foil at 350 for about 20 minutes, until bubbly. Broil it for the last 2-3 minutes if you want the top browned.
Sprinkle with blue cheese and serve!
If you prefer to use all blue cheese in the dip instead of cheddar, that's an option too.
Your guests will love the buffalo chicken dip and it will certainly be less messy than serving buffalo wings themselves!
