Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes Have Fun in The Sun
Suri Cruise, 3, was blissful as she romped on the grounds of an old convent outside Melbourne with her mum, Katie Holmes. Cruise skipped along and gave her mother good chase at the convent, part of the set for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.
The beaming Suri and Holmes made the most of the sunshine in a part of the world that puts on a bracing winter and is a long way from balmy Hollywood. The convent is located at scenic Mount Macedon, near where the Australian classic Picnic at Hanging Rock was filmed in the 1970s. Holmes has brought Suri to the set often and the pair have resisted any attempts at glam wear, donning simple and very casual clothes. Holmes and her husband, Tom Cruise, have been more than savvy in their down-home approach to the Melbourne stay, which is being well-received. During his visits to see his family, Cruise has been seen in department stores and watching Australian rules football games. He is due back in Melbourne as early as this weekend.
