Filiti died Sunday at her mother's home after a battle with lung cancer.
Stallone's mother, Jackie, 90, commented to the New York Daily News, "What a terrible month. First Sage and now Toni. It's hard. At least they're together now in heaven."
His mother added, "He said he can't take any more pain. He said he'll always be there for her son."
Indeed, it's been a series of tragedies for Stallone, who has somehow managed to keep up appearances to promote his latest movie The Expendables 2.
Results of his son's toxicology report are still pending, so the final cause of death has not been revealed.
