Let's see Taylor's flexibility!

We all know Stretch Armstrong. He's that super rubbery, stretch action figure from  the 70s. But he made a comeback in the late 90s, too. And now he's trying to make another comeback. This time on the big-screen in the form of Taylor Lautner!

Taylor Lautner seems to be getting all kinds of superhero roles lately! We always love seeing Taylor Lautner come to the big-screen, but I'm having a bit of trouble imagining how he's going to play a stretchy action figure. Then again, he is super athletic and can probably pull off a ton of moves that will help him fill the role.

The Stretch Armstrong movie will come from Universal Studios and it's being said that Taylor has already agreed to do the role. According to the co-chairman of Universal Studios, "In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power... We couldn't be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch."

In the movie, Stretch Armstrong will discover the stretching formula that gives him all that flexibility. And that formula will help him fight off evil-doers. Taylor Lautner has been named the highest-paid teen actor and hopefully this movie will help him rake in even more dough. One thing all the fans will be crazy excited about? The Stretch Armstrong movie will be in 3D! It will be awesome to see Taylor right in our face! The movie is set to be released in early 2012.

Also, here's to hoping Taylor Lautner's shirt is off for much of the movie!

Good for him, but I honestly think his body looks a little.... WEIRD. It doesn't look right. Maybe because it's not normal for a 17 year old to have a buff/muscular body like that...
