Beyond that, it's difficult to believe that Swift has the acting chops to pull off a musical legend like Mitchell.
The movie will be based on the 2008 novel Girls Like Us, which connects the lives of Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King, looking at their careers and their impact on the music scene.
In other words, it doesn't sound like Swift will have to carry the weight of the movie since it's about more than just Mitchell's life.
As for the other roles, the buzz is that Alison Pill, Olivia Thirlby, Ari Graynor and Zoe Kazan are in the running to play King, while Allison Williams, Analeigh Tipton and Jessica Pare are being considered for Simon.

Are you a big enough Swift fan to give the flick a shot once it comes out, or would you rather just keep her on your iPod?
