Taylor Swift's SNL Monologue Song: Video
Live from New York, it's Taylor Swift!
Country music sweetheart Taylor Swift went on Saturday Night Live this weekend, and in her opening monologue she treated viewers to a brand new ditty about love (Taylor Lautner), hate (Joe Jonas) and revenge (Kanye West).
Swift, 19, was self-admittedly very excited and nervous to be hosting the show, especially with all of her fans curious to see who and what she would talk about.
Ex-flame Joe Jonas? Rumored werewolf hubby Taylor Lautner? Archrival and serial scene-stealer Kanye West?
How about all of them. In her opening act, the young singer whipped out a guitar and performed "Monologue Song (La La La)," which included sweetie-pie jabs at all three stars.
Towards the end of the song, Swift put on a sad face and said: "You might be expecting me to say/ Something bad about Kanye/ And how he ran up on the stage/ But there's nothing more to say/ 'Cause everything's OK/ I've got security lining the stage."
For the rest of the show, Swift pulled double duty: she performed two of her hit songs and made a number of appearances in skits, including one where she impersonated Shakira, and another where she put on facial hair and played a crazy convict in a "Scared Straight" episode.
