Ted Kennedy's 'True Compass' Memoir
From our friends at YourTango
True Compass is Ted Kennedy's memoir that is set to hit shelves September 14. But, we are wondering what we can expect from the book.
Apparently, the book is going to dish on Kennedy's relationship with Mary Jo Kopechne and he addresses the whole "Chappaquiddick" incident of 1969. In the book, Kennedy claims that there was no relationship between he and Mary Jo, and that he barely knew her.
He also addresses his reputation of being a ladies man, even while married to Joan Kennedy. He writes, "I have enjoyed the company of women...I have enjoyed a stiff drink or two or three, and I've relished the smooth taste of a good wine. At times, I've enjoyed these pleasures too much. I've heard the tales about my exploits as a hell-raiser-some accurate, some with a wisp of truth to them and some so outrageous that I can't imagine how anyone could really believe them."
