We're not talking about finding your lucky jeans or that video game that you thought was long gone ... nope. Ryan Kitchin found 12 lottery tickets -- and one of them proved to be a big winner.
Kitchin shares with the Telegraph of London, "I was about to bin them but at the last minute I got this strange feeling that I should get them checked."
It's a good thing he did, because Kitchin, 19, discovered the numbers were winners in the February 8 drawing.
He took them to the supermarket he works at part-time and had a co-worker check the numbers.
He discovered he was a winner, but didn't know how much money he had until they called the lottery folks. It turns out cleaning his room got him $83,781.
Kitchin explains, "I had to phone up Camelot and the woman was asking me lots of questions, and I just wanted her to get to the point. When I gave her the last number of the serial code, she said I had won £52,981. I just couldn't believe it."

As for what he'll do with his winnings, he's planning to pay off his car loan and treat his parents to a vacation. Kitchen plans to continue with working his fish counter job at the supermarket and working with the charity First Response.
He tells the Daily Record that he was recently dumped, adding, "She’ll be sad she finished with me now.”
