The 17-Year-Old Posted a Photo of a Woman on Facebook and Called Her a Prostitute
Let this serve as yet another warning to people to think -- and maybe think again -- before posting potentially scandalous or hurtful photos and missives via social media websites: a teen in Zimbabwe has been sentenced to receive two strokes of a cane after posting a photo of a stranger on Facebook and labeling her a prostitute.

Technology Zimbawe reports a 17-year-old boy from southeast Zimbabwe snapped a photo of a local woman with his cell phone, and then posted it on Facebook. In his description of her, he wrote "Mahure emuChiredzi ndiwaya," which, according too he website, means "These are the Chiredzi Prostitutes."

The woman saw the post later the same day and reported it to local authorities, who charged the teen with "criminal insult" and sentenced him to the caning punishment.
