The Death of Twinkies?! Say It Ain't So, Hostess [POLL]
Twinkie the Kid, and a Deal With a Union, May Ride to the Rescue of the Bankrupt Company
A world without Twinkies is a world none of us wants to live in, but that's a scenario that's dangerously close to happening, thanks to the bankrupt status of the Hostess snack cake company.

Fortunately, the New York Post reports, Hostess and its biggest union are close to a last-minute deal that might just save the brand.
Hostess' creditors are trying to work out a deal with the Teamsters union, which would allow for the company's employees to continue working -- and kicking out and delivering Twinkies, HoHos and Drake's products to the good people of America -- and the company to sell off its smaller subsidiaries to pay off its debts.
The whole plan could take a few weeks to put in place, as Teamsters leaders have to distribute ballots to their members for voting, and, as a source tells the Post, "the workers have a right to choose whether to accept the deal."

The Teamsters deal is Hostess' "last hope," the Post reports. If the union rejects the deal the company has proposed, the company will be forced to liquidate.
Which means you may want to stock up with a few boxes of Twinkies, Yodels, Hostess CupCakes, HoHos, SnoBalls, Ding Dongs, Zingers, Devil Dogs, Yodels and Drake's Coffee Cakes while you can.
