The Faded Denim Jacket is Back in Style!

We rejoiced when we heard we could take our denim jackets out from the backs of our closets without looking like we can from 1985. But we kept our faded denim jackets back there. Now? It's time to bring them out again!

You heard us right; faded denim is back! And seriously? Better than ever. Of course, you're not going to wear it like you did back in the 80s; but we can tell you just how to wear it for the summer and fall of 2010.

Our favorite way to wear the faded denim jacket right now is with our cute sun dresses. We all know it can get chilly indoors no matter how sweltering hot it is outside. So carry your faded denim jacket with you and throw it on when the temperature gets chilly. But you can also throw it on over a more casual outfit; like the plaid shirt you see above. Button up your lightweight faded denim jacket and you've got a super cute shirt.

We also think faded denim looks fabulous with chunky silver jewelry. And we're all about cuffing the sleeves and pairing with some white pants during the summer months.

Just stay away from wearing it with accessories that could be associated with the 80s. You know, like big Blossom hats, huge hoop earrings, and bad perms. Also, don't wear a faded denim jacket with a pair of jeans... Unless those jeans are a super dark wash.
