The Hold Steady Are All Over The Boss

Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty.

The Hold Steady took a trip to Jersey, covering Bruce Springsteen's "Atlantic City" for the Heroes compilation. The Boss is a longtime fan of The Hold Steady, so he's most likely digging this re-do. We, on the other hand, are not really taking a shine to it.

But we'll let you check it out and judge for yourself. On the bright side, the Heroes album, which features Beck, Lily Allen, TV on the Radio and others, benefits War Child, a network of organizations around the world that help children affected by war.

So yay for that. And who knows? You might love this trip down to Atlantic City.
