The Social Network, David Fincher's look at the world of genius, greed and the cut-throat world of Harvard students trying to make it rich, swept away the box office crown this weekend. The film's 10-day total now stands at $46.1 million.

Opening in second place this weekend was the new release Life as We Know It, with $14.6 million. Starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel, the comedy follows two young professionals who find their lives turned upside down when they become guardians to a baby.

In third place at the box office was the horse flick Secretariat, with $12.6 million. With Diane Lane and John Malkovich, the Disney drama tells the true story of the famous Triple Crown winner in 1973 and the under-dog owners determined to make the horse a winner.

I found the link about natalie portman offering advice rather odd. It makes it seem like portman was in on facebook's creation, when really she probably just told him about how the environment was and how the campus looked like. Not as juicy as they imply.
