Theraflu Makers Not Happy with Kanye West's Song About Kim Kardashian
Theraflu Company Issues a Statement About Kanye Song
Kanye West is heating up the blogosphere again, with a rumored romance with Kim Kardashian making headlines.
His new song, Theraflu, which includes reference to his love for Kardashian, is drawing the stink eye from the Theraflu medicine folks.
In the song, West raps: "And I admit I fell in love with Kim around the same time she fell in love with him."
Theraflu's manufacturer, Novartis, issued a statement that says: "We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner."
The rep adds: "Theraflu is an over-the-counter product used to help relieve cold and flu symptoms that millions of consumers rely on."
On his end, West said that he used the name Theraflu "because he's so cold to his enemies and they need a dose," TMZ reports.
On the other hand, Kanye may be getting the Theraflu name out there, so there's that. Free advertising is nothing to scoff at, Novartis!
As for whether Kardashian and West are dating, she said on the Today show: "Kanye and I have been friends for years," adding, "You never know what the future holds."
Way to play it coy, Kim.
Kardashian didn't want to elaborate on West or the song, other than saying "I love the song."
Is the Kanye/Kardashian hook up all just a publicity stunt? It sure seems like it.
