Tiger Woods Backs Out Of Press Conference, Golf Tourney
Tiger Woods decisions make situation look more suspicious.
Tiger Woods is this week's Adam Lambert, with all of America and much of the world peering down on the car accident and alleged fight with his wife that took place early last Friday morning. As Woods demands privacy and tells the public that wife Elin Nordegren "acted courageously" in rescuing him from his vehicle, he's just made a move that causes the situation to appear more troubled than ever.
Woods has canceled his press conference that was scheduled for Tuesday for The Tiger Woods Foundation. The foundation provides leadership and education opportunitites to 10 million kids, and the Chevron World Challenge golf tournament was scheduled to benefit the organization later this week.
And, in an even more desperate move, Woods has canceled his participation in the Chevron World Challenge as well. It's said he made the cancellation due to the injuries sustained in his fight/car wreck, while other speculations suggest that he simply doesn't want to show his embarrassed face in public until things have blown over with his wife. Woods said on his Web site Monday: "I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week. I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry I can't be there."
.
Meanwhile things appear to remain rather unhappy at the Woods-Nordegren home over Friday morning's incident and rumors of his alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel. Read our report from Monday where Woods had confided in a friend that Elin had "gone ghetto" on him, and that this was what caused his wreck.
