PGA insider says Woods changed phones like most change underwear.

While the last news updates surrounding Tiger Woods deal with his return to golf, we have a new report that points back to the mistress scandal in which Tiger's tail has been caught since November. A PGA insider says Tiger Woods changed his phone number five times in 2009...sound suspicious? Absolutely.

Mark Calcavecchia is a PGA golfer who had a chops-busting text relationship with Tiger Woods. Calcavecchia has told Golf.com that at first, Tiger's constant phone number changes didn't occur to him as anything out of the ordinary: "I didn't really think about it, but in the course of last year he changed his number five times," Calcavecchia says. However, he finally caught on: "The last time he did, I said, 'Man, you change phone numbers more than I change underwear.'"

Calcavecchia tried texting Tiger Woods after the November 27 car wreck and sex scandal broke loose. Did Woods respond? Nah. "I sent him a couple of texts right after all this stuff started and obviously he didn't get back to me. I'm sure one of these days out of nowhere he'll text me and say, 'This is my new number.'"

Calcavecchia says he knew of a girlfriend that Tiger Woods had in Phoenix, but he didn't know whether that was before or after Tiger married Elin Nordegren. "But I didn't know the time frame ... I knew it was close," Calcavecchia says.

Calcavecchia's account demonstrates how the Tiger tale has taken its toll on both Woods' life and his profession. Does golf need Tiger Woods? We've analyzed that here. Plus, did you get wind of the Ben Roethlisberger sex assault scandal that broke over the weekend? Check it out.
