Tiger Woods On Performance Enhancing Drugs?
Tiger's lawyer pleads, "Please give the kid a break."
Turns out it's not all about sex in the Tiger Woods scandal. If his hiatus from golf and his sponsors dropping weren't enough to indicate trouble in his career, get ready for this: Tiger Woods' doctor has just come under investigation for prescribing performance-enhancing drugs.
And the FBI is involved! Dr. Anthony Galea is the Canadian doctor who has been treating Tiger Woods for some time. Galea was reportedly taken into custody on October 15 after he was caught at the American/Canadian border with human growth hormone (also known as HGH, the wonder hormone that preserves youth and helps regenerate and reproduce cells) as well as the drug Actovegin (Actovegin is a controversial de-proteinized derivative of calf blood) in his bag.
It's reported that Galea made four separate trips to Tiger Woods' mansion last January and February when Tiger was allegedly slow to heal after a June 2008 knee surgery. If indeed Tiger Woods received any performance-enhancing drugs from Galea, it would have helped him through the busy PGA tour schedule last spring, games in which Tiger Woods was defending champion multiple times.
