'Toddlers & Tiaras' Mom Spent Fortune on Pageants [VIDEO]
How Much Do Parents Spend on 'Toddlers & Tiaras' Pageants?
If you've ever watched Toddlers & Tiaras and you've seen the moms rattling off how much they spend on dresses and pageant fees, you can guess it's expensive.
One mom, however, has copped to spending $500,000 for her daughters to compete in pageants.
How outrageous is that?
Watch the Toddlers & Tiaras clip of Kelly, mom to 4-year-old twins Alycesaundra and Giavanna, who admits that the cost of doing pageants can really add up.
Competing in pageants is so important to Kelly's "Tiara Twins," that she's willing to shell out $500,000 to make their dreams come true.
How does one spend that much for pageants? The girls get $8,000 dresses, a tour bus and bodyguards, to name just a few of the expenses.
Kelly shares, "Do you know any other kid that has an $8,000 dress? My kid has an $8,000 dress. So for me to expect her to give her best, I don't think is asking too much."
She adds, "Four years old is not too soon to learn that ... We do have an entourage that travels with us -- the girls have their own personal bodyguards. Their job is to keep 'em safe because they are little mini celebrities in the pageant world."
What price fame and fortune?
