Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Take Suri To Aquarium
On the cusp of his 47th birthday, Tom Cruise yesterday took his wife Katie Holmes and little daughter Suri to Australia’s Melbourne Aquarium to see sharks, stingrays and dozens of other stunning sea creatures. The family looked wide-eyed at the fish on display in the 2.
2 million-litre oceanarium, with three-year-old Suri clinging to her dad's arm. Holmes, 30, was draped in a dark winter coat with a white hair piece, while a beaming Cruise wore jeans and a dark jumper. Holmes and Cruise are staying at the Crown Casino courtesy of their billionaire friend James Packer, a fellow Scientologist. Security teams spent the day scouring the complex for cameramen - some of whom were said to be keeping in touch with each other via walkie-talkies hidden in shopping bags and backpacks. The family returned to the casino about 6pm. The birthday celebrations are expected to take place tomorrow night, when Cruise and Holmes are likely to go out and party. The celebrations are tipped to involve the Australian football clash between Collingwood and Essendon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Holmes is scheduled to start work on the remake of 1973 horror flick Don't Be Afraid of the Dark at a Docklands studio on Monday. The actress, who will be joined in the cast by Guy Pearce, is expected to stay in Melbourne for up to three months. It is believed Cruise will visit regularly.
