True Blood Makes Sunday Night Steamier
Ever noticed there are no sexy shows about Frankenstein?
Bram Stoker's Dracula put a laced-up Victorian twist on a very old idea. Myths and legends from around the world talk about creatures that sneak into your bedroom to suck your blood. Or rather, to commit a big, hot metaphor for sex.
Since Stoker, pop culture has cloaked our deepest erotic imaginings as pale, broody guys with sharp teeth and a serious lust for your body. The Twilight books get lot of buzz, but we're loving HBO's new series True Blood for a more grownup take on the whole sexy vampire thing.
The southern gothic melodrama takes place in fictional Louisiana where vampires are out of the closet and living off Japanese fake blood. It stars Anna Paquin as a waitress who happens to read minds. But if vampires and psychics sound out there, don't worry. You'll want these vamps to sneak into your room.
