True Blood is Setting Vampire Records
Vampire crazy
We think True Blood really is a testament to the popularity of vampires right now. They're not just for girls who think Robert Pattinson is cute, but for everyone. It seems like you can't go anywhere these days without hearing people talk about True Blood!
True Blood is so popular it's setting records on HBO; and every Sunday night when the series airs, new records are set! The most recent episode saw a 20% rise in viewers, which is absolutely crazy. That brought the show's total viewership up to 5.33 million viewers.
The first episode was the first on HBO to top 5 million since the finale of The Sopranos. We're sure it also doesn't hurt that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are now engaged. We are obsessed with the real-life love stuff!
Fans are gearing up for the season two finale of True Blood and are hoping for some exciting revelations in the remaining episodes. And HBO is hoping for some new records to be set. The third season of True Blood will begin shooting before Christmas and is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2010. Doesn't that seem like a long time away?
