Twilight News: Designing Bella Swan's Wedding Dress

We can't help but jump ahead a bit

So, if you're simply watching the Twilight movies and not obsessively reading the books and learning everything you can about the future of Bella Swan, do not keep reading or we might spoil it for you. But if you did read the books, you know that Bella Swan gets married...to Edward Cullen. Whoo hoo! But what does her wedding dress look like?

Well, you're going to have to wait until Breaking Dawn to see Kristen Stewart in the wedding dress when her character marries Robert Pattinson's. But Breaking Dawn seems like forever away and the movie hasn't even been confirmed yet.

So, InStyle.com asked 9 designers to design the dress they think Bella Swan should wear when she gets married to Edward Cullen. If Bella's real designer, Perrine Bruyere wasn't available, of course. The designers who participated are Christian Siriano, Monique Lhuillier, Erin Fetherston, Brian Reyes, Max Azria, Prabal Gurung, Lela Rose, Badgley Mischka, and Zac Posen.

When Bella puts her dress on in Breaking Dawn, her mother says, "You look like you just stepped out of an Austen movie" and comments that the dress is "gorgeous! So graceful, so elegant." Stephenie Meyer describes an older fashioned kind of dress, something that really appeals to Edward. Remember, Edward is over 100 years old and is more traditional.

In the movie, whether they go traditional or modern, we just can't wait to see it. For now, we are having fun seeing some of our favorite designers and their depictions of the dress.

While we do love Christian Siriano's wedding dress, we're also a big fan of Max Azria's as seen above. We can totally see Bella wearing a dress with long sleeves and lots of lace. We think Stephenie Meyer will like this one too. Modest and elegant seems perfect!
