Boston Restaurant Creates Dish That's Strictly 21 And Up

No, when you order the new Vignola Cherry pizza on the menu at Salvatore's in Boston's, it doesn't come served by a porn star. There's a different reason it's being billed as Adults Only. It's got booze in it.

It doesn't come with a cocktail or a beer - the alcohol is actually IN the pizza. As in, it's topped with cherries that have been soaked in vodka.

The idea, says owner Chick Barbato, came to him via suggestion. "Somebody said let's put booze on them. And I'm like, that would be kind of cool," he explains.

And while most cooking alcohol evaporates when heated on a stove or in an oven, Barbato says not so in this case. "We do macerate the cherries for quite some time with the raspberry vodka. That becomes a pretty prominent flavor so it doesn't burn off," Barbato adds.

But will two or three slices give you a buzz? Not likely. It would probably take two to three entire pizzas to feel the effects.

Personally, the sound of cherries on a pizza alone grosses us out, so don't even get us started on how nasty the vodka aspect sounds. But, hey, to each their own!

Would you eat this pizza?
