Unattractive Men Are More Fertile
This makes Adonis practically sterile.
When a handsome, clean-cut man walks your way, do you ever imagine he's primed to have loads of children just because of his good looks? Well, according to a new study, he may not be as capable as you thought.
The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Oxford, shows that attractive men have, on average, a lower sperm count than unattractive men.
"The more attractive a male is," says one scientist, "the more females will be willing to mate with him, reducing the value of each mating to him. This means it is optimal for him to contribute fewer sperm per mating."
In other words, researchers think that good-looking men have to save their sperm because they are more likely to have sex with a lot of women. This increases their chance of impregnating more mates. Ugly men, on the other hand, have less of a chance of sleeping with a woman, so when they do their body gives it all its got.
So the next time you see an unattractive guy, try to cut him some slack. He's just saving what he can.
