Aguilera and Green are taking a time out from the show to work on their own projects, US Weekly reports.
Aguilera will be promoting her new CD, Lotus, while Green will be working on another TV show he's developing with NBC.
Judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who, with Aguilera and Green, just kicked off the hit show's third season last week, will remain in the chairs for season four.

Aguilera recently told American Idol host/entertainment mogul/radio host Ryan Seacrest that The Voice was starting to take over her life, which was not something she had planned on when she signed up for the show.
"(I thought), 'It'll keep me close to my son in L.A. I don't have to travel," she told Seacrest on his KIIS-FM show. "Then it kind of took off, and there goes my free time!"
The fourth season of The Voice, with the new judges, will face competition in the spring from the 12th season of American Idol, with new judges Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj.
