VH1 Divas to Include Special Tribute to Amy Winehouse
VH1 Divas to Sing Amy Winehouse Hits
The VH1 Divas are back and this time the all-star lineup will include a special tribute to Amy Winehouse.
I'm not sure how much Winehouse would have fit the "diva" model, but the definition has broadened a bit over the years.
While VH1 Divas used to mean Mariah Carey, Celine Dion or Aretha Franklin, this year's lineup includes Mary J. Blige, Florence + The Machine, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J and Jill Scott.
Look for Florence Welch and Wanda Jackson to perform Winehouse's song Back to Black, and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings will perform You Know I'm No Good.
This installment of the popular concert series is called VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul, focusing on soulful cities that inspired these divas: Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis and Philadelphia. The Roots will back the singers.

VH1 Divas airs on Monday, December 19 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
VH1 Divas benefits the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, a non-profit that raises awareness about the importance of music education for kids.
Of the event, Jennifer Hudson commented, "I'm excited to meet Jessie J. And what's odd is Kelly Clarkson is the original winner from American Idol. It's been almost 10 years since she won and eight years since I was on the show. And I have never met Kelly."
Who are you looking forward to seeing?
