And the movie hasn't even opened yet!

We've all been eagerly awaiting the release of the movie Valentine's Day (3 more days!). But while we've been sitting and waiting, director Gary Marshall is already thinking about the sequel. And the sequel might be taking us to New Years Eve!

It will be interesting to see how Valentine's Day does in theaters. People are generally either super excited about it or they think it's simply a marketing ploy to have so many celebrities in one movie (hello, Alex Meraz). But, despite its crazy similarities to Love Actually, I'm super excited for Valentine's Day to come out in theaters.

And now it sounds like Gary Marshall is already planning a Valentine's Day sequel, with a potential for even more movies. Allegedly, the sequel would include some of the same cast, with some new additions as well. And they're looking at centering the sequel around the New Years holiday. It definitely sounds like they're focusing on the holidays that bring along huge expectations, that often aren't met. Word is that writer Katherine Fugate has already submitted the first draft of the script for the movie.

Do you think a sequel is a good idea? I think Gary should have waited to see how the public reacts to Valentine's Day before letting any news of a sequel leak.
