WATCH: Allstate's Terrifying 'Don't Text And Drive' PSA [VIDEo]
All I Want For The Holidays Is Your Attention
You know what your family really does NOT want for the holidays? You, lying dead in the middle of the road after flying through your car windshield, your hand still holding a cell phone with an unfinished text message on the screen. Check out the latest Allstate anti-texting while driving PSA for an effective -- if not harrowing -- reminder.

The new PSA hits fast and hard, showing a driver paying more attention to his little mobile screen than the massive mobile machine he's driving down the road.
According to the Department of Transportation, at least 6,000 people a year die as a result texting while driving. In fact, it can be one of the most dangerous things you do behind the wheel, including driving drunk. (One study showed it takes an extra 4 feet to brake while intoxicated. It took 70 feet while texting.)
The ad, created last year by Leo Burnett for car insurance company Allstate, is set to run in theaters this holiday season before new releases like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Mission: Impossible 4.

Judging by the commercial's effectiveness, I'm guessing audiences will remember the message long after the credits roll.
