WATCH: Armless Drummer Rocks Out in YouTube Videos
Romanian drummer Cornel Hrisca-Munn, 20, was born with no arms and a deformed leg. According to the UK Telegraph, his birth mother left him at a Romanian institution as a baby, where he was seen by a visiting doctor and eventually given a home in Britain.
Let's just say he defied the odds of being a drummer -- just because he's lacking in limbs, doesn't mean he's lacking in talent.
Hrisca-Munn's drumming talents are seen in YouTube videos for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tinie Tempah, and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."
Hrisca-Munn told MSNBC, "When I started high school I quite fancied learning a music instrument. I looked into it and thought the drums would be the only instrument I would be physically capable of."
He added, "I started having lessons, then a couple of years later started to teach. Over the years, I grew more and more passionate about the drums, and kept playing! I also taught myself to play the bass, and have been doing that for a few years."
So crazy amazing.
He learned to play drums left-handed, and when he was 14, he earned second place out of 400 contestants in a national drumming competition.
He has his own band, The City Walls.
On a YouTube post, he explains how he's had to adapt to play the drums, writing: "I play a normal right handed kit set up, but have an artificial right leg, so use my (real) left leg on the bass drum for quicker beats."
What an inspiration.
