Time of our lives

Dirty Dancing is one of those famous movies that everyone knows and loves. Even people who have never seen the movie (which can't be many people!), have heard of Swayze's famous line "Nobody puts Baby in the corner." Oh, and that last 'time of my life' dance! Fabulous! And so, we all know and remember Patrick Swayze.

Though Patrick Swayze sadly passed away yesterday, we have no doubt he's going to be remembered forever. One of the things we'll remember him best for, is his role in Dirty Dancing.

The final dance from the movie, "Time of My Life," has been played over and over at numerous proms, weddings, and parties. And inevitably, there's always one group who chooses to reenact the dance and the final lift that happened between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

What was your favorite scene from Dirty Dancing? Something other than that final Patrick Swayze dancing scene? Or is there something else for which you'll remember Patrick Swayze more? Now don't get us wrong, we absolutely loved him in Ghost, but Swayze was a dancer at heart and there was just something so special about that final dance. Even watching it today, we want to kick up our heels and get dancing!

RIP Patrick Swayze. Your memories will remain forever. After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, the actor Patrick Swayze has passed away. He was 57 years of age. Patrick Swayze was diagnosed in 2008 with stage 4 cancer, and it metastasized to his liver. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive forms, with less than 5% of patients surviving 5 years, most succumbing within 6 months of diagnosis. Swayze leaves behind an intimidating body of work, including smashing successes in blockbuster films, hit TV shows, and even a few highly regarded indie appearances and stage work. He will certainly be sorely missed, and there will be many paycheck loans worth for tributes to Patrick Swayze. Read more: http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/09/15/patrick-swayze-died/
