What to Do on Valentine's Day: Date Ideas That Don't Suck
Valentine's Day plans Have you stumped?
I don't even remember what I did on Valentine's Day last year. And no, it wasn't because I got sloshed and woke up next to a totally hot stranger. I don't remember last February 14th cause it was totally unmemorable, forgettable, even ordinary. Completely unfab.
That's why I'm vowing to make this V-Day the best ever - or at least semi memorable. Here are a few options that'll make Valentine's Day fun, fun, fun!
Have a single ladies cocktail party - Invite your single girlfriends over for booze and cocktail weenies. And by this I mean, you supply the booze, they supply the men. Have each single lady bring one eligible bachelor.
P.S. To avoid drama, please stipulate that they must not bring men they've previously slept with or would like to sleep with in the future. I am speaking from experience here, people. Don't let your party go to the bad place.
Drop it like it's hot - Take a cue from those adorable old school Fandango paper bags and go clubin'. Indulge in a couple of drinks, let loose and party down to the likes of Chris Brown.
Sushi with your sweetie - Is there a sexier meal than sushi? Ah, nope! Remove your shoes, enjoy some sake and savor the unctuously sensual flavors of Japan together.
Host a Passion Party - Spend an evening with your girlfriends getting schooled on all things sensual. Companies like Passion Parties will come to your house and throw down mad education about the latest in bedroom toys, lubes and other romantic products.
Take an epic walk - Whether with a friend or a lover, walks are a great way to enjoy someone's company -- and burn a few calories while you're at it. Chat and enjoy nature - even discover somewhere new in your own backyard. You'll finish feeling fit of mind and body.
Double your pleasure - Grab another couple and go on a group date. Think mini-golf, an arcade or even bowling. It may sound cheesy, but it's really a lot of fun. Especially if drinking games and betting are involved!
If none of this sound enticing, I apologize. Maybe you should curl up with a huge cup of tea and download episodes of Gossip Girl on iTunes. Ed Westwick never fails to put me in a fabulous mood!
