White House Party Crashers Avoid Security
Every party has a pooper.
President Barack Obama's first official state dinner was just like any other party. Things were going well until someone crashed it. D.C. socialites Tareq and Michaele Salahi may face charges of lying to federal agents after sneaking into the party.
Tareq, 41, and Michaele, 43, strutted into the White House soiree on Tuesday evening dressed ready for the red carpet, and they somehow managed to get by secret service without invitations.
Once inside, the couple had their pictures taken with celebrities and top politicians, like CBS anchor Katie Couric, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and even Vice President Joe Biden.
Now, new details are emerging about the mystery couple. Salahi was a successful business man who founded Virginia's Oasis Winery, and he and his wife have made a habit of rubbing elbows with big names. They're also contenders for the upcoming series Real Housewives of D.C.
How the couple managed to get past tight security is anybody's guess, but this can't bode well for President Obama's safety. Either way, it looks like the Salahis won't be able to get into parties for a long time to come.
