Whose Convention Style Do You Vote For: Ann Romney's or Michelle Obama's?
Don't You Kind of Wish The Election Was Between These Two Ladies Instead?
No matter how you feel about their husbands, there's no denying that both the First Lady and Mitt Romney's wife, Ann, rocked it when it came to their convention style. Both gave eloquent, emotional speeches for sure - but the day after their keynote addresses, all anyone was talking about was the clothes.
On her big night, Romney wisely opted for Republican red. And her silk and taffeta Oscar de la Renta couture dress, which was totally apropos of someone with her family's wealth and class, won raves reviews. The price tag: $1,990. But she showed spending restraint when it came to her shoes - she's worn the same pair of black peep-toe pumps on more than one occasion.
Hours after Obama finished speaking, the Tracy Reese site nearly crashed thanks to the staggering amount of people searching online for designer's dress she wore onstage. The silk jacquard combo frock she donned was from Reese's upcoming spring 2013 line, which will debut at New York Fashion Week. Other similar items from the line retail $395 to $450.
Her J.Crew shoes were also modestly priced, but the real fashion homerun was her blue-gray nail polish. Look to see plenty of requests in manicure salons near you!
