Will Summit Turn 'Bree Tanner' Into a Movie?

We got a brief look at Bree Tanner in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse. And we got to read about her life in Stephenie Meyer's novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. The book isn't part of the Twilight saga, but more of a companion to the series. So, will Summit be making a movie of the book. We say they should!

And why wouldn't they want to? Summit Entertainment has one more Twilight book to make into a movie and they've already decided to make it into two movies. But once they're done, the Twilight saga will be over forever. Or will it? Lucky for Summit, Stephenie Meyer wrote another little Twilight-related book.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner was released in March and tells the story of Bree Tanner, the girl you saw in Eclipse who was saved by the Cullens and then ultimately killed by the Volturi. A source tells WhatsPlaying.com, "It goes without saying Summit want to continue this franchise... Tanner is the one they're looking at post-Breaking Dawn."

We were initially excited because we loved Jodelle Ferland's portrayal of Bree Tanner. But the source is saying she's not likely to make a return for the possible movie. They claim, "It's too early to talk casting, and everything we're hearing is just speculation or off a wish list, but I don't believe they plan on using the original actress, Jodelle Ferland, for the spin-off film. It's all about numbers and names - you guys know that."

What?! That sounds crazy to us. After all, we think it's safe to say most Twilight fans have fallen in love with Jodelle as Bree and wouldn't want to see her played by anyone else. Of course, it does sound like they're talking other big names, like "Chloe Moretz. Elle Fanning."

If Summit does make the book into a movie, who would you like to see playing Bree Tanner?
