Forget Victoria's Secret or Fredericks of Hollywood …

Ah, remember your childhood years, when you loved nothing more than the Sears holiday Wish Book catalog, which you and your siblings would thumb through every day in the weeks leading up to Christmas, dogearing the pages and making lists for "Santa" of just what he should purchase for you with his Sears credit card?

Well, the Sears website is still fulfilling wishes, but of a decidedly more adult variety now.

If you go to Sears.com and do a search for "Exotic Apparel," you will be directed to pages and pages of, well, some surprising intimate apparel. The kind of apparel that covers a lot less of the body than you might expect from apparel sold at Sears.com, and in some cases, apparel that doesn't cover certain body parts at all -- i.e. there's some naked boobs and butts hanging out, y'all.

One particular photo of a model sporting a very sheer purple nightie has raised the dander of groups like the American Family Association, which is accusing Sears of selling smutty, offensive garb (nipples are quite prominently seen in the photo).

Adrants.com reports that that particular photo has been pulled, but as you can see in our slideshow below, there are still some very raunchy shots of fancy undies on sale at Sears.com.

Far be it from us to be prudish about some pictures of women in their, ahem, outfits for romance, but we kinda sorta a little bit understand why some people might have a problem with these particular photos at Sears.com.

It's Sears … if you're flipping through the Victoria's Secret catalog or shopping at the Hustler store (seriously, some of the "exotic apparel" is really, really exotic), you expect to see a certain kind of lingerie.

But when you're perusing the offerings of the store where your grandparents bought their TVs and your parents, er, Santa, bought your Cabbage Patch Doll, you are not necessarily expecting to see some of these types of outfits.

But, without further build up, take a look at our slideshow of selections from Sears' exotic apparel section and then tell us:

Are you offended by Sears.com's Exotic Apparel selections?

  1. Nah. It's much ado about nothing.
  2. Yes, it's inappropriate to sell those things alongside tools and home appliances.
