You've Gotta Hear This: Tanning Mom's Sure-Fire Defense [VIDEO]
And Yes, She's Still Quite Tan
Tanning Mom Patricia Krentcil told TMZ.com that she's sure those child endangerment charges against her -- you remember, the ones for allegedly allowing her six-year-old daughter to use a tanning bed -- will be dropped.
Why?
Because her daughter's a redhead.

In case you're not seeing the logic of that reasoning, don't worry … it's because it ain't there. But that was Krentcil's explanation to a TMZ.com cameraman who interviewed her in a parking lot last weekend.
"She was never in the booth. The case will probably be dismissed," Krentcil said. "There's no evidence. I never would put my daughter in … she's a redhead. We took her to the pediatrician, and all she needed was Lubriderm lotion."
We think what T.M. is suggesting there is that because her daughter has red hair and fair skin, of course she wouldn't put her in a tanning bed, and, of course, because of that, no one would ever believe she would put her in one, and therefore the charges against her for allegedly doing so will be dropped.

Of course, most people would probably also assume that a grown woman wouldn't tan herself to the point of being black and orange -- colors T.M. admits she turned -- so, for many reasons, there are holes in Krentcil's logic.
Krentcil also told TMZ that her current skin state (which is still pretty dark) comes courtesy of Jergen's self-tanning lotion, that she will not be using tanning beds in the future and that she had suffered a nervous breakdown during the media coverage of the child tanning allegations.
