iPhone Alarm Clocks Fail, Users Oversleep
Happy New Year, from Apple.
For most of the world, the first Monday of the new year has the back-to-work-blues power of 20 Mondays. But for some iPhone users, it's oh so much worse -- A glitch in the alarm clock of the popular phones resulted in numerous reports of people oversleeping and missing their flights or getting to work late.

On Sunday, Apple issued a statement claiming it was aware of the malfunction and that all clocks would begin working normally on Monday, Jan. 3. But that didn't quite happen.
Instead, some angry iPhone owners in Europe and Asia took to Twitter and Facebook Monday morning after their alarm clocks failed to wake them up for the third day in a row, causing many to be late for work or even miss their plane flights.
Apple has yet to comment on the unfixed problems, but CEO Steve Jobs took to Twitter to make sure no one makes their situation worse.

"Until Apple issues an official fix for the iPhone alarm glitch, please do not open your iPhone's clock app," Jobs wrote. "Doing so may void the warranty."
So, you mean we can't even open our own alarm app without risking a void warranty? Needless to say, this was not the kind of response iPhone users were hoping for.
Said one Huffington Post reader: "Mr. Jobs, I'd like to let you know that you have officially, directly contributed to unemployment in 2011."

Sounds like someone needs to reacquaint themselves with an actual alarm clock.
