They're juuuust right!
I'm a big fan of Marc Jacobs. The guy is fascinating. Ever since I sat down and watched a two-hour documentary on him, I've been hooked. Why? Have you seen his work for Louis Vuitton? And his Stephen Sprouse collaboration? Fabulous. Needless to say, I covet his every design. Sadly, the LV and Marc Jacobs prices are a little high for my budget. But his Marc by Marc? Now that I can afford (sometimes).
And the shoes are to die for. If you haven't checked them out, do it. Especially once summer comes around. M.J. can make a mean sandal. Just look at this one! I've been in the market for a wedge heel, and I love the cork platform. They're probably very lightweight and comfortable. And they're made to last.
So what do you say? Are you in agreement? I'm already planning on wearing these well into the warmer...

Telling time.
Nothing jazzes up a hum-drum outfit like a fun, vibrant watch. Just think about it - the sky is gray and dreary, you're wearing all black, and suddenly you feel like you're part of a funeral procession. What to do? Marc by Marc Jacobs: Marc, it is my prediction that you're gonna make a whole lot of downtown hipsters very happy. Just think! Now they can walk into their local Barneys CO-OP just like the rest of us rather than sifting through dirty thrift store bins. Fab. Sadly, I'm not one of those downtown hipsters I speak of. The plaids, tweeds, and hiking boot combos are not really my cup of tea. The people you sent waltzing down the runway really did look like they were off to cut trees in the Yukon. Nice try, but no cigar.
Narciso Rodriguez: Mr. Rodriguez, just because you are officially a member of Mrs. O's wardrobe does not give you permission to slack off. Let me be honest: I heart you hardcore but I was a bit disappointed. Your usually impeccable tailoring was lacking in originality and some of the looks you debuted just didn't fit. I did love some of the soft colors (salmon pink, luxurious camel) and you are a genius in the simplicity department. I just feel like you can do better. I know you've been distracted - parting ways with your investors at Liz Claiborne, designing the election night garb for the First Lady - but it's time to focus. I expect more come...
