ABC Apologizes For Rachel Uchitel "Hooker" Comment

ABC addesses Joy Behar's comment on The View.

On Thursday, Joy Behar got a lot of laughs when she said on The View that Tiger Woods mistresses Rachel Uchitel was a hooker. We reported Friday morning that Rachel Uchitel and her lawyer Gloria Allred responded by demanding an apology from ABC, and they got it -- but that's all.

Us Weekly reported Friday that a rep for ABC had issued the following statement: "Joy Behar made a play on Ms. Uchitel's name. This was intended as a joke. We sincerely apologize for the choice of words and for any misimpression the joke may have created."

Here's the deal. Remember when Rachel Uchitel referred to her friend Ashley Samson as a hooker for selling the story of the Tiger Woods affair to National Enquirer? If Uchitel gets to refer to someone who's not a hooker as a hooker, then why can't Joy Behar?
