But Adam Lambert's AMA peformance gets no apologies.

Adam Lambert appeared on CBS' The Early Show Wednesday morning after being dismissed of his performance on ABC's Good Morning America. Lambert got the chance to answer fans' questions, but also he sat down with Early Show co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez to tell her that he's not sorry for going so over-the-top with his sexually-charged American Music Awards presentation, and, Lambert re-stated: "I'm not a babysitter. I'm a performer."

Adam Lambert told Maggie Rodriguez that he had "no clue. No clue at all" that his AMA performance would cause such an uprising. How does he explain such risque moves? "Those kind of came from more of an impromptu place," Lambert said. "No, those were not rehearsed. So I think ABC was taken a little by surprise. That wasn't my intention. I wasn't being sneaky. It got the most of me, I guess."

But Lambert said he feels it's parents' responsibility to police what their children watch...and for the families who were angry about his AMA performance, Lambert said there were other performers this year at the AMAs who engaged in activity that was not suitable for children. He feels there are confused standards about sexuality in the entertainment industry and that if weren't a gay male, he wouldn't be hit with such a "double-whammy" double-standard.

Lambert's one regret about the AMAs? He would have sung better. He says he oversang "For Your Entertainment" because he was so excited to be part of the AMAs.
