If Vanity Fair says it's true, then it is. Even if it isn't. Cred comes in many forms, and Vanity Fair has turned that pesky high school yearbook tradition of "Best Dressed" into an annual fashion event played out in its glossy pages.
This year's ballots have been counted, and the winner is...Obama! Michelle, that is. And Ivanka Trump, and French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy (also the covergirl), and British First Girlfriend Kate Middleton. The list goes on, and it's a stylish one. Let's take a look at some of the highlights.
Sarah Jessica Parker
The SATC star has long been heralded as a fashion maven, so there's no surprise here. Her recent red-carpet appearances haven't just been fashionable; they've been downright gutsy! That Philip Treacy hat perched atop her head at the premiere of SATC: The Movie was nothing short of fabulous weirdness. Wonderful!
Daniel Craig
Come on, he's James Bond! He's always on the best-dressed list. The 40-year-old actor just gets better with age, and likes to stick to a classic Tom Ford tuxedo.
Kanye West
Known not only for pushing the limits onstage but offstage, as well. The performer likes to play the dapper card and dress smart. His fave purchase from 2008? "A special-order red Epi leather Christopher backpack from Louis Vuitton.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
OK, so they're not really one person--more like a team--and we rarely notice what they're wearing because they're so freakin' gorgeous. But yes, we agree. Best-dressed all the way.
