Pitt and Jolie sued the gossip magazine after it ran a story in January that claimed the Salt star and her chiseled hubby were planning a separation.
The story went on to claim that the couple were arranging to divide their fortunes of over $300 million and arrange custody of their children. Pitt and Jolie were obviously angered by the story, and they proceeded to lay the smack down.
"When the News of the World failed to publicly retract the allegations and apologize for them — thereby leaving their readers in the dark as to the true position — the couple felt they had no alternative than to sue," said Keith Schilling, Brangelina's attorney.

The stars have now won the privacy claim and have been awarded an undisclosed amount of money which they are reportedly going to donate to charity. Their attorney says News of the World will now print a retraction and an apology.
In other Brangelina news, one half of the famous couple will be on hand at this year's Comic-Con festival in San Diego.
