Angelina Jolie is not the only actor in her family who's been busy with work. Angelina's dad, Jon Voight, has taken a role in Texas and is struggling with the notion of not seeing his grandkids. The solution? Technology! Even Hollywood families use Skype, says Voight!

Thirty-five-year-old Angelina Jolie and her dad, Jon Voight, had been estranged for years before reuniting in late 2009 so that Voight could be an integral figure in the lives of his six grandchildren. During Jolie's filming of "The Tourist" in Venice, dad Voight was almost always around, and now that he's about to start filming the new Fox series "Lone Star," Voight says the separation from his offspring is going to be tough.

"I'm gonna miss my connection to my grandkids," 71-year-old Jon Voight told reporters at Monday's Television Critics Association party for "Lone Star," his new drama about an oil tycoon who's living a double life. When Voight is filming in Texas and Angelina's kids are zipping around Los Angeles and all the world, Voight says he plans to try something new. "I'm trying to Skype," he said, "and use everything I can do to say in touch."

Voight also said that like most dads, these last few weeks celebrating Salt's international premieres with Angelina and his son, James Haven, have been a joy -- Voight said, "I'm always happy when I'm around my children."
