Anna Wintour Keeps Her Spot on the Masthead

Roitfeld is not the new Wintour.

We can all take a collective breath. Anna Wintour says she's "not leaving Vogue." And we, unlike the gaggle of people who actually work for her, are delighted to hear that the devilish one is sticking around.

So, if Wintour has no intention of leaving the mag, then what sparked all the water cooler chitchat? The rumor mill broke out into a tizzy after Si Newhouse, the owner of Condé Nast, paid a visit to French Editor, Carine Roitfeld. Puhlease people, this guy is Roitfeld's boss, of course he’s gonna check in with her once and a while.

Alas, 60-year-old Wintour will have to retire or die some day, and then who will run the illustrious mag? Our bets are on Cynthia Leive, the current editor of US Glamour. She'd fit in like couture on a runway model.

But, when it comes time to pick a new Anna Wintour, we're sure the sunglassed one will have much say.
