Anna Wintour on David Letterman

The ice queen or the angel?

Many of us feel like we have no idea who Anna Wintour is. When we think of her, we likely think of Meryl Streep's character from The Devil Wears Prada. So, we loved seeing her on David Letterman's Late Show.

Not only are we going to get a whole lot of Anna Wintour's true personality in the upcoming movie The September Issue, but now we got to see her on late-night programming.

And you know what? We actually quite like Anna Wintour more than we ever dreamed we would. Yes, she entered the stage looking ultra fashionable in large black sunglasses, but she removed the glasses upon sitting down. She actually smiles and makes jokes!

She even tries to give David Letterman some fashion advice about his socks and pants. But he doesn't seem to keen on listening to it. But he does comment on the fact that he doesn't know anything about fashion or Vogue, but feels like he knows a lot about Anna Wintour. That's probably true of a lot of people and says a lot about Anna. How many other editors of magazines do you actually know by name and face?

Of course, we can still see where Anna Wintour gets her ice queen reputation. She's definitely a lot more stiff than many Late Show guests and everything about her just seems so perfect. But we do feel like we got to know Anna a bit better and now we're even more excited about seeing The September Issue.
