Ashley Dupre, Spitzer's Call Girl, Gets Advice Column
A former sex worker answers your questions about love.
We may be in a recession, but that doesn't mean there isn't anyone out there looking for your special set of skills. Just ask Ashley Dupre. The former call girl, who was at the center of last year's prostitution scandal involving former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, has been hired as a sex columnist for the New York Post.
Dupre, 24, will be writing a love and sex advice column for the Post that will focus on Dupres' extensive experience in the subject.
"Sure, she's made some mistakes," reads the intro to her column. "But now Ashley Dupre, the former escort who brought down Gov. Eliot Spitzer, is sharing what she's learned in her new sex, love and relationship column."
As a former call girl (a high class escort out of the public eye), some of Dupre's more high-profile clients included former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. After word came out that a giant illegal prostitution ring was operating in NYC, Spitzer resigned and Dupre tried to start a pop music career.
And while she waits for a singing career to take off, she's found herself a new job because of the scandal. Who knows, maybe she'll be good at it. To start, here's her opinion on the whole Tiger Woods scandal:
"Here you have all these girls accepting gifts, money, trips from Tiger in exchange for sex — all the while knowing he is married," she recently told the New York Post. "And now they all can’t wait to tell their stories in exchange for even more money from the tabloids? And I was the hooker? At least I kept my mouth shut."
