Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley Face More Rumors

Avril and Deryck might have seemed like a great celebrity match, but they made an announcement that they were splitting up last week. PEOPLE did some digging and revealed the reasons why the two split up. Avril's 24, and she started to realize that something was missing--her independent life!

PEOPLE quoted a secret source that commented "She married too young and she finally realized that. Avril realized she needs her own life and needs to explore things without him."

Another source said that Avril and Deryck really had problems for over six months. While Avril has been linked to Brandon Davis, her friend, "there is no romance," and the split was actually "not about Deryck wanting a kid nor is she dating anyone else."

"Deryck has left the house," the source said--but they insist he wasn't actually kicked out. Since Avril insisted that they were friends and still cared about each other, at least there aren't reports about knock-em-out fights around their Bel Air home.

For a young couple, Avril and Deryck seem to be separating better than people twice their age.
