Denver Zoo Welcomes Sole Living Giraffe Relative

Get ready for your "squeee!" moment: the Okapi is an extremely elusive animal that can grab food with its purple tongue--and it's unknown how many of these adorable animals exist in the wild. Well, now there's one more.

Kalispell was born on June 27th to parents Iosi and Jekaro, and she looks super cute. Cute Overload called the baby a "head-on collision of a zebra and a giraffe," and we're inclined to agree.

Unfortunately, this stripey rare tot is still hidden from the public, but it should go on display later on this year at the Denver Zoo.
